So yesterday I took my second Biochemistry exam. It was brutal. I studied over 8 hours a day for a week straight. I did well, but not as well as I would have thought. The test covered the structure, functions, and reaction of carbohydrates, lipids and nucleotides. Some say that organic chemistry is the hardest class on campus, I think biochem is just as hard if not harder. The reason I am posting this is because the class is a pre-requisite for most if not all dental schools. You do not need to have everything completed before you apply, so take this class after you have been accepted and only have a semester or two left. It will help to keep your gpa up in the 3.75-4.0 range. The Dental Admissions Test did not have any biochemistry on it, so you can take the DAT before this class.
